We are a licenced exam center licenced by the Austrian German Diploma institute in Vienna, ÖSD for short. These exams are internationally recognized, so the acquired certificates serve as a valid proof of knowledge of the German language.
You can submit this certificate in other countries, which includes institutions and authorities in Austria, Germany and Switzerland, as proof of language skills when looking employment, enrolling in studies or attending other educational programs, as well as for the regulation of residence status and employment for non-EU citizens, as well as for other purposes.
You can find example tests and other information about the exams at www.osd.at .
Language proficiency levels
The ÖSD exams are based on the criteria of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
This means we have different levels of language proficiency (A1 - C2), and within each level we test the knowledge of four skills: understanding of what is read and heard, as well as competence in speaking and writing a foreign language.
When and how
German language exams are generally held as follows:
Osijek - every third Friday of a month
Banja Luka - every second and last Saturday of a month
Orašje - every first Saturday of a month
Doboj - every third Saturday of a month
You can apply via email at info[at]dialog-group.eu or by phone at 098 134 0882.
Since the number of participants in the exam is limited, applications must be made no later than three weeks before the exam. Later applications are also possible if there are still exams available.
No previous course attendance is required to apply for the exam if the candidate already has the necessary knowledge for a specific level.
ÖSD exam dates
Are your diplomas recognized by the embassy?
Naturally, our diplomas are recognized by the embassy. We are licenced partners of the ÖSD (Österreich Schweiz Deutschland) exam center in Austria and you can find us on their official website. The certificates in question are recognized, not only in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, but in many other states of the world, and are treated as a means of ensuring the knowledge of the German language in German-speaking countries.
Do diplomas have an expiration date?
Diplomas do not have an expiration date, they have a lifelong validity. However, embassies demand for documents to not be older than a certain time period (six months or one year). Diplomas that are older than six months or one year cannot be extended, the exam must be retaken.
How long do I have to wait for a certificate?
After successfully completing an ÖSD exam, all candidates receive an internationally recognized certificate which usually arrives 4-7 weeks after taking the exam.
Are the certificates written in German or do they have to be translated?
The certificates are printed in Austria and are written in German.
What does the ÖSD exam look like?
The exam consists of four skills: reading, listening, writing and speaking.
